Pure Parenting is an initiative by Mariken, firstly and most importantly a mother herself and a specialist in parenting and child development. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education for Primary School as well as a Master’s degree in Education and Behavioral Developmental Science.

Mariken has fifteen years of experience in working with children and parents, she has a wealth of experience in helping families from a wide variety of backgrounds. Before moving back to the Netherlands in 2018, Mariken was working at kidsFIRST Medical Centre in Dubai for almost five years. Her passion is to help parents and young children to create a meaningful relationship and support them through the many questions and issues throughout the journey.

She holds special interest in the early years, parent-child interaction, behavioral needs, attachment and adoption. Over the years she worked with young children and their parents or care-givers in nurseries, schools, private clinics and governmental institutions with all different cultural backgrounds and has helped many families through different situations.
